The Shoto Museum of Art

A small museum, but they host some cool exhibitions. When I visited all of their space was devoted to an exhibition on Okinawan textiles, which had some very beautiful pieces and some interesting explanations (in Japanese).

Great place.

Was interested because this was supposed to be an interesting architectural piece. The middle part was interesting, but other than that it was just OK. But make sure to try walking in the middle part of the building anyway. Plus it’s only 500¥ anyway.

This museum is a small but has must see good exhibitions. On 26th Jan 2020, I visited here again to see "The World of Sarah Bernhardt, Luminary of the Belle Époque." She was a wonderful and very famous actress. On 25th May 2019,The exhibition "Lady, woman, girl" is very good to see. I enjoyed "Shunga" too.

me and my husband went to see the glass art exhibition. this museum is in shibuya's one of the most richest residence area.(called shoto) my husband found the ad on the street and we decided to go to the museum in the afternoon 2 hrs to closing time. it was a good experience. the museum is not big at all but has quite good selection and atmosphere. we enjoyed a lot to spent about an hour - 1.5hrs in here.
