Yamatane Museum of Art

Quiet museum offers interesting exhibition from its own collection of paintings. Nice wagashi and Matcha set at the coffee shop

It's a small, cozy museum. Loved the exhibit. The staff were polite and welcoming. We even met a guy who explained some facets of Japanese culture to us while we were speculating. Another visitor directed us to a part of the exhibit we almost missed. There's a small café though we weren't able to try it out. A fun afternoon out 😊

Small but high quality exhibit, well curated with almost enough English explanations ... Changes frequently.

Although small, this museum is worth a visit. The traditional paintings are exquisite. It only takes an hour or two to see the entire exhibit, which is perfect on a day of site-seeing.

The museum had a beautiful exhibition of Japanese watercolor paintings of flowers of the four seasons. The staff was very friendly and the cafe was quite pleasant.
