Simple business hotel with small rooms, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. A good Japanese breakfast is served in the morning. Within a half-hour's walking distance from the picturesque historic district of Sawara. There is also a traditional Japanese bath on the reception floor. Bicycles may be borrowed at the front desk.

I stayed there a few years ago, but I remember being happy with the morning curry service at the cafeteria.

I have stayed there 3 times with my fiance as he works nearby. I love the Housen hotel! The people at the reception are very nice. I don't speak Japanese, but they always tried their best to help me. The food in the restaurant is authentic and excellent. The room is pleasant, and the rooms with the small kitchenette are practical for cooking small meals. The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from Sawara station and the historic center, there are also several shrines to visit nearby. I hope to be able to return to the Housen hotel soon. It feels a bit like home.
