There's a lot of interesting collection related to cultural and history of Japan and other Asia country. There are several rule you should be aware, so please pay attention for the signs. You can find vending machines and food stalls in average Japan price, so don't worry bout getting hungry. But there are museum shop, you should consider to prepare money not just for the ticket if you don't want to lose chance having their great souvenirs (but I think they accept cards).

Very nice and relaxing place to go. This part of the museum has antiques from Asia mainly. The place is clean and nice and can get very crowded on weekends. The entrance fee is about 900 yen for adults. The price is higher for special exhibitions. A negative point is the limited number of coin lockers, so try to go without bags or anything heavy.

One of the best museum experiences my partner and I ever had. Wonderfully designed, cleverly presented and with a perfect balance of still exhibits and interactive ones. An absolute must if you're visiting Tokyo!

A collection of great heritages are shown in this museum. It has three buildings, one for Japan and one for Asia (I am not sure about the third one). I spend more than two hours in this museum and only could see one of the buildings patiently. I just scanned the Asia gallery and did not have a change to visit the third building. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know about the history and culture of Japan. But beware of that it needs at least 4 hours.

Nice but short museum. Quite cheap for students and if you are from the University of Tokyo it is free. I highly recommend to go to this museum early in the afternoon if you want to have the opportunity to wonder around in the garden. The temporary exhibits are a little more pricey though (around twice the price of the normal exhibition)
