Cute ryokan guesthouse in between JR Nara Station and the famous Nara Park. The rooms are classic Japanese with tatami floors and there is a shared bath as well. The place is cash only but there is a 7-Eleven across the street if this is an issue. Overall our stay was quite comfortable and enjoyable.

We wanted to stay at a ryokan, and this seemed the best value. However, when we booked it didn't ask how many children we had, and when we checked in they charged us an extra ¥3000 per child--cash only. That's my only complaint.

Ryokan Hakuhou is a very nice traditional Inn. It has a nice massage chair in the lobby and, apparently, the common bath spaces are really proper onsen. The rooms are comfortable (with traditional futon beds and a small table, a TV, and air conditioner). A laundry washing machine is available on premise (for 500 yen you can get soap and use it). Dry you clothing after by hanging them on the lip surrounding the room. I would definitely stay again if in the Nara area.

There was also an artificial hot spring, and the location, room, and facilities were good. The building is old, but it was renovated and beautiful. Next time, I would like to use it again if I have a chance to go. The only thing I want you to change is that you can't hang a bath towel on the hanger.

[Traditional Jpanese inn Hakuho] A ryokan in the back along Sanjo Dori, a road leading from JR Nara Station to Nara Park I'm using the space in front really well. I'm impressed.
