This place is closed and not only today. Something to do with the olympics. The shoed me explanation in japanese. From the numbers I guess its closed until feb2020...pitty
It was very educational. If you are interested in children's books, illustrations and art, you will find it rewarding. The souvenirs shop was overwhelming.
Good place to kill an hour and see how the Japanese experience art. Note there are no English descriptions for the art, so just enjoy visually (if your a Gaijin). Also the art is hung for a 5 foot tall person, so be prepared to stoop.

He is an aouthor of a famous picture book called "Swimmy."!
