Absolutely beautiful building and area along the nakasendo trail. The hotel has a traditional irori hearth which is very nice to sit around and chat with the owners, other guests, or friends during cool evenings. The breakfast and dinner that are included are wonderful and more than enough to eat. You can purchase beer and alcohol for extra. Futons are comfortable and bath is pleasant.
Had a great stay at this inn as we passed through this town on our hike. Do be warned however that the rooms are on the second floor and the stairs are very very steep. It isn't quite suitable for anyone who can't make it up and down the stairs safely. we didn't even bother to bring our baggage upstairs but left it in the lobby. This is a traditional in so the walls are literally paper thin. The bath is very small and can accommodate 2 at a time, but it's very nice to soak in the tub. Dinner was excellent! The set course we had had a lot of seasonal ingredients and we were all very satisfied!
The room was nice and clean, and the food was amazing. A tiny towel was provided, so you may need to BYO. The room has no locks, but it feels rather safe otherwise. The lady who runs the place is friendly and speaks good English.
Best minchiku in Town. The food is awesome but the wifi is kinda iffy ...
Friendly and great food. Cosy rooms with view on a cute garden. But beds are uncomfortable especially the pillow. Everything looks a bit used. Also maybe dust off some spiderwebs?
