Chihiro Art Museum Azumino

From a foreigners perspective, let me tell you that I got some great pictures out of the scenery here. If you don't know any Japanese, you are still able to enjoy the atmosphere, though I know a myriad of other, more exciting, places.

This is a good place for local history Buffs and fans of ちひろーさん。 It is particularly good to see the old train and the classroom kept restored for future Generations - as well as the library and actual classroom . Anybody interested in local Japanese history should enjoy this place It also has a good-sized play area for children as well as a historically based souvenir gift shop and some food and refreshments are available. Obviously I have not mentioned the art which can speak for itself and its time period And feeling or emotion.

Very very nice place. I actually stayed here about 4 hours. I had food and drink, read books, sit on comfortable chairs, walked in the garden.Chihiro's only son established here.He has very good ideas.

Quiet, cute small museum with a wonderful little park. The artwork inside is mostly children related. The interviews and watercolors of Hiroshima survivors is quite powerful. I wish they had been translated to English. The artwork outside is not extensive, but is impressive. There is even a soft serve ice cream stand in the parking lot. It was quite tasty and the very nice lady who runs the stand is also a dairy Farmer who confirmed that it is made from the fresh milk from her farm.

Plenty of happiness fulfillment.
