Get the E-bikes! Especially if going to the wasabi farm. They're located just across the street from the station and cost ¥400 an hour, which is ¥100 more than the regular bikes but they're so much more fun! Plus, we got to the wasabi farm in like 10 minutes (instead of 40 mins walking) with super easy riding and had a blast cruising through all the fields and checking out the town. NOTE: the wasabi farm gift shop closes at 5 not 520, so keep this in mind. You can still wander around the farm after it's closed though.

みどりの窓口は閉鎖されましたが指定席券売機は2機あるし、駅から少し歩けばコンビニやスーパーもあるのでそこまで悪くないかと思います。また駅員さんは親切な方が多いですが、夜は治安はあまりよくありません

There are two bus stops in the station square. From the platform on the north side of the plaza, Ikeda-cho Buses and route buses to Nakabo Onsen are available. Azumino City Bus and Azumino Tour Bus are available from the east side platform. The highway bus has a bus stop along the station square. The bus stop for Busta Shinjuku etc. is in front of Ceria, which is about 100. This bus stop is also connected to the Hotaka Shrine bus stop of Azumino Loop Bus, so you can go directly to the Daio Wasabi Farm. The Jam Jam Express bus stop is in front of Fujiya. There are no regular buses on the western plaza. A park and ride parking lot for highway bus users is located near the south of the shrine. There are 4 parking lots that can be parked for 500 yen a day. procedure First of all, we will put the car in the parking space. Next, tell the station staff the number of the parking space and settle it. On the way back, we will inform the station staff that we are parked and will leave.

The station building looks like a building that imitates Hotaka Shrine. There are many small unmanned stations along the line, but it is nice and peaceful. The scenery of the mountains of the Northern Alps and the rice fields is good along the Oito Line, but from Shinano Omachi to Minamikotani, the 3000m-class mountains are covered with snow and the autumn colors are at their peak. The high-altitude mountains in the back from Matsumoto were covered with snow, but the scenery when I visited around the time of rice planting in May was the best. In the latter half of June, the mountains of the Northern Alps will gradually disappear, but in the latter half of October it will be covered with snow, but in mid-November the Kamikochi will be closed, but the snow will be solid and covered with snow. I still can't remember the name of the mountain, but it is very popular because you can visit it on a day trip from the metropolitan area by local line and the view from the train window is good. During school hours, the area between this station and Matsumoto station is quite crowded.
