We had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse, and would come again without hesitation anytime! From the moment we entered we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality by the owners, a lovely family that took well care of us during the stay. They checked upon us several times and even brought some bread so we could eat something in the morning, upon hearing that we want to check out rather early the next day, as stores would still be closed. The house itself is no less impressive; it is indeed one of the most beautiful and tastefully equipped Japanese houses I have encountered in my ~6 years in Japan! Everything was very clean, and we were even offered a choice of rooms as we were the only guests staying. The surrounding is quiet and rather green, especially as the house has a garden and good view of the mountains across Kiso-River. Lastly, as a lover of tea I was especially happy that there was quite a variety of flavored black teas, milk teas etc. available. All in all I can only recommend this place, without any hesitation, and I hope very much that many guests will come and visit this gem and the incredibly friendly owners. 早くコロナが収まりお客様が段々増えってくること、心から願ってます!

Amazing place! You can feel old traditional japanese atmosphere while listening good music. The owner offer us good advise and gave us all we need for our stay. We totally recommend this place for your vacation.

Very good homestay! Reasonable price, clean and tidy, close to the station. The interior and exterior of the house are all traditional Japanese style, and the rooms are very spacious. A homestay that can accommodate small groups to large groups. You can see the beauty of the Kiso Mountains from the window. Although there is no air-conditioning on the second floor, there is a cool breeze from the evening to the morning in summer, and it is not sultry. The kitchen is fully equipped, with oil, salt, sauce and vinegar, and all kinds of dishes. You can cook by yourself. It is recommended to buy ingredients from the Aco-op supermarket next to Sakashita Station. The host family is very enthusiastic. The landlady was afraid that there was no restaurant nearby and she bought us bread to eat. This homestay was opened at the time of the new type of pneumonia, so far not many people have come to live, so the equipment is very new. I hope everyone will support the local tourism industry.
