Here has separated house which are old Japanese traditional style. The cuisine are very beautiful. The location is not far from train station. Actually I went there by car. The road is good for driving. Especially the staff are very friendly and kind. Now, they are preparing the bath and shower room for each house. (They already have house with shower room . you can ask it when you book.)

This is a must see, must visit, must dine in, must in Japan! Food is out of this world. Service outstanding. It has been an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Original home stay experience. The hut is original and very old - so on one hand to have an original experience on the others hand the rooms have to be refreshed (especially the toilet and onsen) for the price you pay. You have an on room WC but no shower and you use the public bath (onsen) which is also nice but again very old. I think I ryokan experience in Japan is a must it’s always expensive and I’m sure that for the same price nice and fresher rooms are available. But Nagataki is worth the visit and stay for it superb service and extraordinary food you get. Dinner was one of the best meal we had in Japan and breakfast which was also traditional was surprisingly delicious too. We don’t eat meat and seafood and still the chef (who is also the sons owner) adapted the meal accordingly without a problem. If you want to experience a real traditional, romantic and delicious home stay - that’s your place.

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful gardens, delicious food. A wonderful and magical cultural experience.
