Quaint traditional Ryokan in a quiet part of town. The public bath Rokuryu Kosen just down the road is well worth a visit as well.

We had a great time here...our room was very large, relatively speaking, and the owners were great. The neighborhood is super peaceful. This is not quite in the thick of things, but there are plenty of services nearby. If you want to be downtown, stay downtown, this is like staying in a small neighborhood place. There is a convenience store across the street, a subway station 5 minute walk away, some good local restaurants nearby, easy access to the park, 15 minutes from Ueno Station. The washer and dryer here are also great...the dryer actually dries well and is free. The washer is coin operated. We stayed 4 days and it was very nice. I recommend it if you want a quieter, more out of the way experience than the craziness of a shopping street.

Good place to stay. But the wall is too thin. I can hear footsteps from every corner of the house, very noise at night.

A little far from the station but the owner is really kind, extremely convenient location to visit the best places in Tokyo.
