It's an okay place to stay for one night (especially if you're trying to save money on Golden Week) but I would avoid staying here again unless all I wanted to do is sleep.
There's no communal area though there is a microwave, fridge and kettle. I think clothes washing was cheap but I didn't try it.
The best thing about this place is the close proximity to the ferries to see The Great Torii. It makes it easier to beat the crowds in the morning.
There's bicycle and scooter parking out back where people tend to dry their clothes.
The dorm room I stayed it only had two beds in at and I was the only one renting which was nice. There's no window but a little desk.
There only appeared to be one shower and one sit down toilet on my level.
It's what you'd expect for the price, the bed is comfortable but you also have pretty much no space and they kick you out at 10 the next day.
Great location for tourists and locals alike, it's close to the ferry station and a number of restaurants. They also have a large Gundam figurine in the lobby which easily deserves 5 stars.
You can stay private spaces
It is right beside the ferry to Miyajima island. Great location, rooms were good, mattress was comfy and the staff were really friendly :) plenty of private washrooms but there was only one shower per floor. There is also a human sized Gundam in the lobby!
