+Transportation is very convenient. Very good service. Clean room with tiny standard Japan's hotel room. Comfy bed and pillow. Good view at the high floor room. -If you stay in the railway side room, when you open the window the train's sound maybe noise.

Air conditioning is less than adequate. Make sure your room is opposite of train tracks. Otherwise sleeping with the window open to stay cool is a difficult option.

Central, clean, and fully equipped hotel for around $50 per night. Located right at Kariya station, the hotel provides easy access to Nagoya station via both the JR and Meitetsu lines (which the hotel is named for), making it a good central location to base yourself during your trip to Japan. I chose the option of free breakfast, and it came with a breakfast buffet that included traditional Japanese main dishes (and natto, if you're interested) as well as Western dishes.

I've stayed here twice when visiting Kariya. Both times were for a week-long business trip to visit my company's headquarters. Lucky for me, the front desk seems to always have someone there who speaks English and can help with information. At check-in my paperwork was all ready to go both times. For an American, yes, the rooms are small but they are not uncomfortable. The beds have plenty of firmness and the bathroom, though tiny, is well-thought-out. Breakfast is decent; I think most people can find something they like in the offerings. The coffee machines are very easy to use. Finally, this hotel is connected to the train station so it's VERY convenient for getting to NGO airport or traveling to another city. Definitely a good choice for international travelers!
