This hotel is very old and extremely inconvenient. We arrived at 10:30pm and nowhere is open to eat or drink...
Plus no plugs near the bed! And only one elevator located for everyone.
FOREIGNERS UNFRIENDLY!
They don’t allow people who has tattoos to enjoy the large public bath.

Nice hotel with very helpful staff. Public baths are good (water is very warm for those new to baths) and laundry facilities. Rooms are a reasonable size with very hard beds. Kettle and tea/coffee and air mister. A little out of town but 100m from bus stop direct to Nakatsugawa train station from where you can catch another bus for the Nakasendo trail. Handy restaurants, sweet shop and convenience store all within 500m. Restaurant provides a good buffet breakfast and very reasonable priced dinner options suitable for all tastes.
A very convenient accommodation near the main road.
This is a very nice roadside hotel. Seems like it is most frequently used by traveling business people, tourists, and drivers. The staff are delightful and very helpful. Rooms are clean and modest. Bathrooms are very small compared to American standards but average for Japan. Breakfast each day and a free beer at check in come with your room! Catch the #4 bus out of downtown to get here from the train station. It's about an 8 minute ride. There's a stop right across the road from the hotel. Use the underground walkway to get over. check in is after 3.
