Nanpeidai Onsen Hotel

The quality of their onsen has been reported quite high and that was my reason for the day visit to enjoy it. However, onsen itself did not impress me that much and moreover, we were disappointed by poor quality of their bathrooms and the building itself, simply too small and everything was outdated. I came over all the way looking for great onsen but it did not pay. I am sure there are even greater onsen at convenient locations. Gave additional one star for their reasonable admission, 450-ya per person.

Every time my wife looked at the guidebook in Nasu, I came here for the first time to see the hot spring tiger puffer that I wanted to eat once. The hot spring is an alkaline simple spring. With a slimy feel, it has a beautiful skin effect. It became smooth after the bath. The hot spring tiger puffer that I was looking forward to is a full-course meal with a full volume of porridge. It was delicious.

The employees are very kind and have a great reputation. The hot springs are simple alkaline and make your skin smooth, so you don't need to take care of the cream. As for the food, the kaiseki cuisine of the chef was exquisite and really delicious. It is an inn that I want to repeat again.

The hot spring has a high ph and becomes slippery. You can also put it in the Kannon hot spring in front of you. The view from the rooftop outdoor bath was very good. I was able to see the fireworks of the local Rotary club, but I was disappointed that I could only see a little because it was the same as dinner time without the guidance. It was said that you could make a bespoke order at dinner, but I couldn't order because it was until 7 o'clock. The explanation in the hall was good, but I wanted more information such as fireworks and bespoke time.

It is a very favorite hot spring that I go to once a month. There are large and small open-air baths, and it is comfortable to have a slightly hot smaller one that is out of focus.
