The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko

positive feedback the service is great everything is new. location is perfect. there is a small local convenience store near by. a famous waterfall is about 10 minutes walking distance. the breakfast Japanese style is amazingly good. everywhere have sanitize station I think they have deal the coronavirus situation pretty good. beautiful bar and hot springs. Gym is 24 hrs which is great. negative feedback the only thing I don't like is the waiting for the food. If your kids eating schedule is 6 u must book about 17:15 so you do have time to wait.

One of my favorite hotels I've stayed at in Japan. Only has been open for a month and a half but the Ritz has imported staff from Tokyo/Kyoto so everyone is incredibly well trained and professional. The food is locally sourced wherever possible and every meal was excellent. Loved each meal and looking forward to coming back when the seasonal foods change. Recommend driving as there are tons of parks, trails, hikes you can hit all within an hour radius. Plenty of other outdoor activities available from the hotel too. Can't say enough good things and I'd ignore every other less than 5 star review (probably written by some divas)

Beautiful property. The onsen water comes l the way from okunikko and is full of minerals, including a bath with sulfur. The rooms are modern and spacious. Food is good although there are plenty of restaurants in Nikko to enjoy local food

The exterior and interior of the building are not gorgeous, but you can feel the quality and quality of the product, which is similar to Wabi-Sabi, and you will be satisfied with the hospitality. The large public bath of the natural hot spring is wonderful with a calm atmosphere in both the indoor and outdoor baths, but the baths in the room are open and you will want to enter the bath salts with a nice scent. The bathrobes are also of good quality and are very soft to the touch. The restaurant meal I had for dinner was good, but the Japanese breakfast was delicious and I couldn't eat it. I was also grateful to the staff for their kindness in preparing the bags to take home when I left the bread. Anyway, I was able to spend a satisfying time, feeling all my heart and soul.
