Little Forest Inn

We had a lake view room for two nights. The room was really cozy and the great location gave us advantage to access to the beautiful nature before massive travellers arrive the lack side. And I must highlight that the staffs are extremely helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for one night during our 2017 cycling trip. Due to bad weather we started late and arrived at around 8pm. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated her laundry service. Thank you so much! This place is also nice because it has this cozy atmosphere with a personal, private touch unlike hotels. Be advised that no breakfast is served but a mini market nearby and restaurants provide all you need. For emergency cases, they also offer some self service bread, snacks and chocolate in the hallway. Again, thank you for your hospitality. We hope to stay with you again.

Lovely little hotel. Nice traditional tatami rooms with futons, small bathroom and own toilet. The host is lovey, and make sure you ask about the discount swan boat rides

Very nice, minimalistic hotel, with normal beds. Staff is very hands off-everything is self service except check in and out. We had a very pleasant stay.

Very sweet little pension. Operators speak very little English but try very hard. The Young woman hand Drew a map to let me know of good eating spots. Room is small but nice view of Lake Chuzenji (4 of the 6 rooms). Small private bathroom with shower and tub in room. Minimalistic but we spent 2 nights her and we're comfortable. While Lake Chuzenji restaurants close up early, like before 6 (in October, at least), there are still a half dozen open. Pension has self catering convenience store snacks available for 100 yen each, and hot water and tea/coffee in room. Very convenient to Lake Chuzenji, town, and Kegon Waterfalls. Economical if you aren't into frills. The only drawback was the hard beds. Bus stop #28 on Y & YK Tobu Bus line, but could easily take C line and walk from Chuzenji Onsen.
