Mainly a hotel but can stay as monthly apartment. Land lady is so kind and sweet. We were able to swap an extra bed we didn't need for a dresser we did need. Lived here for a couple months. Has oven and beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony if your above the 2nd floor. Loved watching the sunset over the ocean every evening.
The place is large enough inside. The only issue is the furnishings are pretty dated as is the building itself. It also has a pretty consistent dampness to it that gives the place a funky smell.
This place surprised me. After staying 2 weeks in Navy Gateway at Kadena we moved here because NG was renovating. Eagle Lodge is so much bigger. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with full kitchen. They supply the rooms really well. We had a complete set of pans, dog bowls, dish towels, sponge, and dish soap. They even have large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom. Ice cold a/c. Large closet spaces and dressers in bedrooms. An outdoor play area for kids and of course the dog run. It’s also conveniently located next to one of the top vets/ pet stores (Vet 22) in the area.
It's a decent place to stay with some restaurants downstairs and nearby. The facility itself is a bit on the old side and could use some updates though. It can be difficult to get into and out of depending on which direction you are traveling as there is a median devider that won't allow you to cross the road so you have to make a U turn to go south bound.
The eagle lodge rooms are very large, there is a very good restaraunt under it called taj amd a bar on the side. It may not look like much on the out side but is very nice on the inside
