I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. I was able to leave my luggage with them before checking in with no issues. The room was large and it even had its own little relaxing room to look out into a small garden. The dinner was traditional Japanese style and I loved it. By the time I got back to my room my futon was already made for the night. Their indoor and outdoor bath was very relaxing as well. If anyone is looking for a nice place to stay that keeps with the traditional Japanese style I would highly recommend staying here.

Inexpensive ryokan with polite and helpful staff in a beautiful location. Delicious food whether you choose Japanese or western style. In easy walking distance of Tosho-gu shrine.

Man, where to begin. First I guess it’s important to acknowledge that the price is right. Place is cheap, so if you’re here a night, you’ll be fine. On to the bad. Second, the walls are so thin you hear everything going on in your neighbors room. For a light sleeper, that means your neighbor who is snoring is just going to keep you up. That sucked. Thirdly, I’m not a fan of the foreigner/Japanese division in any hotel. In Japan, there’s a kind of “par for the course” division and then there’s the separation of this this hotel. That kind of mentality is just not welcome in this day and age. Ryokan are a dime a dozen, and this one offers a totally forgettable stay.

Excellent experience in onsen. Clean rooms. Great service. Reasonable price.
