Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side

Nice hostel, convenient location but equipment is not so new. Maybe because of high volume of guests, the room service is not so good but still acceptable.

I got charged 122 USD from not available to get there because of Hagibis Typhoon situation , everything is off service and Nikko was one area that got hit from it directly . Moreover, i couldn’t get any refund . Just think it’s unfair

Booked a private room with bath for 2 nights. I would think over ¥25000 and 20 minutes from the station would have gotten us a little nicer/newer accommodations. While the building has charm, the rooms are outdated and somewhat neglected. The linens and bathroom were clean and the room was quiet but the interior has a strong chemical smell. The lounge area and patio were popular spots for guests to relax. From the state of the kitchen, I am thankful we did not add on breakfast or dinner. Cute hotel but overpriced for the location and overall condition.

As highlighted by its name, it is located in the mountain side but no worries even so the hotel offers free shuttle from Nikko station. the owner is a wonderful woman, classy, kind and thoughtful. The room is clean and contains all needs

the hotel is very far from the city (20 min walk), and when you walk at night there's no light so it was quiet scary. the rooms were big compared to japanese hotels but some bugs from outside got in. if you have a car I guess it's fine and you can also ask for a ride from the owner. he took us to the station in our last day (thank you very much!).
