This is a very high quality hot spring inn in Kaneyama town, Fukushima. A bit far from the nearest station or highway exit. But this inn has a bunch of charms that might attract you.
First of all, the quality of hot spring water is quite high. The water is naturally carbonated and has a bunch of minerals. It can keep your body warm for a long time because carbonated water is said to promote the blood circulation. This inn has a private bath that you don’t have to pay extra money for.
Secondly, this inn boats of food including local Japanese sake. They always keep very rare and high quality locally brewed Japanese sake.
Additionally, this inn stands by a river. When you sleep at night, you might fall asleep listening to the sounds of the river’s lullaby. It truly clears noises in your brain.
It is a member inn of the Japan Secret Hot Spring Association.
You will be immersed in two hot springs, the hot spring from Hachimachi Onsen and the Tamanashi hot spring. It is a carbonated spring water with the highest carbonation rate in Japan, and the reddish brown water is a very good water that makes you want to soak it forever.
As for carbonated springs, I think that Hanayama Onsen in Wakayama and here are the best.
The food is also orthodox, and it's very delicious.
It was a year-end party for the senior citizens' club. I couldn't eat delicious food and took it home.
I went on weekdays. Is it near you? There are quite a few people who come for a day trip bath. Personally, I like it, but I hate companions~. The food was delicious. I think the amount is appropriate. Regarding the hot spring, when I visited, I was sorry that one hot spring had died, but it was a good hot spring.
A very calm inn surrounded by mountains and clear streams.
The neighborhood and Kanayama-cho are mostly modern inns with middle-floor buildings with many wooden inns that are almost full of seasons. Even so, it seems that the history before rebuilding is still quite old. You have to move by stairs without an elevator.
There seems to be several types of rooms, but when staying in a Japanese-Western room, there was a hanging chair woven with rattan that Emmanuel lady seems to be suitable for.
The bath is warmed up well by the brown carbonated spring. There is also a private bath and I entered the next morning.
There is a traditional mixed bathing bath next to it and it is surprised when you open the door. It is full of hot springs with a cool communal bath and a new day trip hot spring facility across the bridge across the river.
The food was delicious with local ingredients and yuba and other dishes and horse sashimi and local sake set.
I wonder if Mr. Shigeru Mizuki stayed there. There is a picture of Kappa (it seems to be quite valuable) in the hall by hand writing and when taking photos and videos in the room, a round orb is quite reflected While thinking that it was good, I thought whether it was related to drawing 😅
At that time the river was under construction, but the surroundings were rich in nature (there was also a squirrel).
Next time I want to go again while watching the scenery by train from Niigata.
