Hatago Nagomi

Nice hotel with both ( men and women) bathrobe. Just ask to get a room w/t view to the lake, or u can get a none view to the lake. Breakfast is must japanese stile. Just walking distance to any place in the city Bus stop in front of hotel. Nice staff, they will help u with info.

Very polite and welcoming staff, the dinner was very tasty and made with authentic Japanese ingredients. Overall, the buildings were very clean and the environment was nice. I would definitely recommend staying here.

While the rooms at Hatago Nagomi were beautifully comfortable, modern and airy with stunning views across the lake, what most impressed was incredibly professional and accommodating staff. Speaking impeccable English, they graciously collected our luggage and spirited it away to our room while giving a tour of the facilities. The waiters and cooks would dash across the timbered dining room to ensure that every need was met, often before even having a chance to ask for help. Seeing us return from a day exploring the the hauntingly beautiful snow covered forests the gent at the front desk suggested a soak in the Onsen and a restaurant for what turned out to be an amazing dinner. The outdoor onsen was magical, sliding into the scalding hot water and watching the snow fall on the rocks around you. Hatago was impossible to fault during our stay, even in the depths of winter their excellent facilities, incredible staff and stunning surrounds.

Right on the lake and walking distance from the bus stop/waterfall. Room was big for Japan.

It's not a big hotel, but still pleasant nonetheless. Room has a good view and is large and comfortable. We visited in winter so the in room heating unit is good! Onsen although small is still ok since the maximum capacity is not huge. Both dinner and buffet breakfast is good as well. Free parking outside the hotel is available as well They were also able to help me check with Kurosaki (a v ery good nearby sushi restaurant) their opening hours in winter. Should I visit Nikko again, will stay there again!
