Small railway station. There are two convenience stores and elevators out. Go out of the East exit and wait at bus stop 2 for the bus to the Buddha statue. Alternatively taxis were plentiful on Saturday afternoon opposite the bus stop and charge about 3500 yen for a journey to the statue park entrance.

I stopped by for 4 days at work. The gateway to the Buddha of Ushiku. I was impressed by the illuminations at the rotary in front of the station. I think it was redeveloped, but it was a clean and comfortable station.

東口は2017年頃に改修されて綺麗になった。冬季になると、隣のひたち野うしく駅をしのぐレベルのイルミネーションが施される。その時は、駅利用の無いであろう小さい子供もチラホラみられる。スケボーをやる人間が散見される。変なワザを繰り出して着地する際に、敷き詰められたレンガを破壊する。取り締まってはどうか。
