Lovely walking spot. ¥500 entrance per person. Illumination on weekends and holidays - ¥1500 entrance (after 16:30)... Think that's a bit expensive so went during the late afternoon and managed to see a tiny bit of the lights as they were switched on.

The place was amazing. It was serene. A nice place to have bbq and enjoy the calming view of the bamboo trees. They have other activities too like berry picking depending on the season. They also offer kimono experience with tea ceremony. Activities should be booked in advance.

The Four Seasons Bamboo Forest of Wakayama Farm is fabulous! I visited with my friends, we were very excited to visit the place where scenes of the film Rurouni Kenshin had been shot. We participated in the special light up event, held paper lanterns on our way through the forest, and enjoyed taking contrasting night shots near the lights of the candles and the lighting effects in the forest. We want to go again and try the archery set making workshop! Dinner in the forest was amazing (catering company hired to deliver it), it was a very unique and memorable experience.

It is less than 10 minutes by car from Utsunomiya IC and more than 30 minutes by car from Utsunomiya Station. It seemed to be famous as a location for movies and commercials. If you want to feel the beauty of lush bamboo, daytime is recommended, but on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, it is lit up so you can see a fantastic view. However, I didn't like it very much. There are many bamboo grove in Kyoto and Kamakura, but there is no admission fee just for looking at them, and if you want to fund maintenance, I think you should solicit donations. It seems that you can pick bamboo shoots in the spring and pick up chestnuts in the fall, so why not increase other activities?

December 3, 2020. When I went to the Oya Museum, I saw the pamphlet here and learned that it was used in the "live-action version of Kingdom" and the TV drama "Jin", so I hurriedly visited it. At the reception, a very nice woman taught me how to enjoy a walk. It wasn't crowded, I was released from the mask, and it was a walk for about 30 to 40 minutes, but I was very satisfied with the emotion and healing as the broadcast scenes of movies and dramas were recollected. Also, it's a place you want to visit.
