Hotel the Gate is really really good. The food nearby in the hotel at the train station is amazing and it's easy to get to the city center. Amenities are great and the hotel is spotless. Staff is wonderful, laundry is easy to do. My one complaint is that starting around 6-7am the other guests will start making a lot of noise packing their things and the earplugs you're given can only do so much. Other similar accomodations sometimes separate luggage lockers and sleeping quarters and this doesn't occur.

Contrary to the name, this isn't a hotel, instead it's a huge dorm where the "rooms" are separated by curtains, so you will hear all the other guests go to sleep and get up etc. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms and showers were clean but there were layers of dust on the lockers and bunk beds in our room. Unfortunately at the time we went this was the only option that wasn't extremely expensive so we had to take it, but if you can, avoid staying there. Definitely not suitable for families.

Nice clean hostel with large bath and shower area. It's convenient located if you need to be at the train station fast. The local tram is also right there. The common area was very crowded when I was there. Which is a good thing when you want to party, then you can use the one hour drink Flatrate.

This place is overpriced for what it is. It's really a done up hostel rather than a hotel. Service was okay, but there are no kitchen facilities. It's close to the train station, and there are some good restaurants there. The bar is good, and beds were nice. It would be better is they advertised it for what it really is.

Very good place for a solo traveler, they have a great set up. Not so much of a social scene, it may have been my timing, but the bartenders are quite friendly and made the effort to connect for at least an hour using phone translators.
