Do not select this hotel. It is a shame to the Japan Hostelry. Owners shall be ashamed of providing this awful experience to Japanese and Foreign guests. We stayed there on January 2nd and 3rd 2020. The room - 852, that was reformed - had torn tatami, mold on the windows. The food was the most awful experience. The Chinese buffet is the lowest quality frozen food. The raw meat is staying non refrigerated next to the hot plates. The raw eggs shell are displayed broken - on evening and morning service. A Food inspector would do good to visit here. The second night food was not served at this hotel, but in a different location which required access with bus, with again below than expectation quality food: chicken meat and roast beef impossible to chew, resulting to eat only rice and miso soup. Not even worth entering their website and make up pictures or reading the fake paid comments you can see on the travel websites.

Incredibly lavish, sanitary, and professional; this ryokan offers both on and off site access to hot springs - all of which are exemplary! I would definitely recommend coming here. Try the Shabu Shabu dinner and don't skip the breakfast buffet in the morning!
Old fashioned spot. Lots of Chinese tourists. Takes the relaxation away in the public onsen. Loved our room with the beautiful view of the river.
