I wish Omori no Sato is my home. So special place. Very calm and feel tradition but also it's very modern. I love staying here and I always want to come back to this place. It's great place for a group of family or friends. Very comfortable and they have everything you need.

A Place Where ‘There Is Nothing Here’ Totsukawa Village Stay or ‘Omori no sato (Home of Mt. Omori)’ is a lodging facility in an old traditional dwelling, first built over 100 years ago, that has been renovated into a place where you can ‘stay as if you are living here’ and where you can feel the spiritual and cultural richness of life in a mountain village. It is located on a mountain at an elevation above 300 meters, in a locale where the scenery of a mountain village remains as it was in the distant past. Under the supervision of noted East Asian culture expert and researcher Alex Kerr, who has a deep love for this area, the structure has been renovated, making lavish use of timber produced here in Totsukawa Village, and it is a lodge brimming over with the warmth of wood. (Quote from the official website.) To be honest, I am highly recommend all traveller should rent a car rather than take public transport. Reason1. The lodge is located very deep of the mountain. Basically it is invisible, it stand on one of all thousands hill top. The path to the lodge also seems invisible because it is just got one spot connected with the 3rd grade road which is always break down or fix up during the bad weather. Then the result is time change quite often. Reason2. Lots of the beautiful spot laid on both side of the valley and you will love to stop few minutes to take a picture. Reason3. It is more convenience when you check out, you can more direct go some interesting places nearby or next location you"d planned. One more important advice: YOU MUST CONTACT THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE COME DOWN TO A EASY RECOGNIZE LOCATION TO PICK YOU UP. DON'T CHALLENGE YOURSELF, YOU REALLY CANNOT FIND THE LODGE IF NO ONE LEAD THE WAY. But after all those difficulty. You will find all that pain, confuse, angry is totally worth it.
