Lovely tiny place 🙂
I Stayed there a couple of nights and i really enjoyed my time there.
The owners are a helpful and charming family. The place is small but comfy enough. It’s kind of old wooden house with a lot of character (feels like being at a friend’s place).
The town is very quiet at night, slept well.
It’s also easy to meet your roommates and have a chat.
I had a wonderful stay at Onomichi Guesthouse. Yuka and her family were so generous with their home and making sure I was comfortable. She had extensive knowledge regarding the Shimanami Kaido and surrounding areas. Not to mention her English is stellar. One thing to note, it is a guesthouse as the description mentions, and she has two children therefore don't be surprised if the little ones are around. With that said, I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone in Onomichi!
Lovely hostel with lovely hosts! Little hostel, with very steep stairs to access the couple of rooms available (so not suitable for those who may find this difficult). Only one toilet is a downside. Basic facilities but done nicely. Good spot for starting the shimanokaido, although cute little town to hang around if in the area. The host stayed up late to let us in when we arrived late from a train, was so lovely of him to stay up so late we really appreciated it!
True guest house in authentic Japanese house, feel like in doll house. Perfect dormitory.
This is a real guest house. I mean you live with your host family during your stay and I loved it ! The house is well equipped, and the host mum is so nice!! Very helpful and speak very good English. She helped us to call a company (in japanese) to send our luggages in Imabari. She also went to the shop to translate our request. Incredible!!The guest house atmosphere is excellent thanks to the host family. I recommend it!
