Onomichi Kokusai Hotel

Hotel had free shuttle which we could arrange for pick up and free shuttle to Jr stations at fixed times after checking out. Far from the sights but there are local buses to get you there if lazy to walk. Restaurant was pricey food was OK only but service was top notched in my trip.

The hotel is ok but a bit far from the sights (the port, the temples etc). The room was clean but small. On a more positive note the set Japanese dinner was great and the staff very friendly and helpful in assisting us with luggage dispatch.

bed is nice, walls have zero insulation so you hear all the noises…also breakfast was a little disappointing…but otherwise nice hotel

This is a nice and friendly hotel! The room was fresh, spotless and modern. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Bikes are free to use to go into Town (not for island-hopping). I highly recommend you to stay in this hotel.

I loved the hotel. The staffs are extremely helpful and attentive and knows basic english. The only drawback is that the hotel is situated extremely far from the Onomichi station (20 min walk with heavy luggage). They do offer shuttle service, however this needs to be agreed upon beforehand. We used their shuttle service to Onomichi station (which starts the earliest at 8 am) to get started on our Shimanami Kaido bike ride. Our luggage was stored at the station.
