Ami-San and Chikako are the nicest hosts i’ve had in my 3 weeks in japan! They were so kind and helpful, giving me ideas of what to visit and what times were best. The house was also spotless clean and really comfortable to stay in. I loved my stayed and I was genuinely sorry when I left! I wish I had more time! Highly recommend!

We stayed at Toichian guesthouse and met with the host and family. We were welcomed in like a close friend. Kids had lots of fun and we felt so comfortable. The house was very big, enough to fill 6 of us and lots of luggage, had a fantastic kitchen, great lounge room with heaters and a laundry area. Hired bikes were provided for our convenience too. It felt like home away from home! Chikako San was a great host and a great person. When we were in trouble with a lost luggage on our first day, she drove us to the police station and clinic for my mum's replacement medication. She also drove us to the train station on our last day, which we didn't expect her to due to 6 of us and the many luggage we had. We couldn't be happier staying here. It was both a pleasure and privilege to have met Chikako San and her family... I would definitely return here when we return to Kyoto. If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I would!　ありがとうございました!
