Not too far from Tokyo, this place is great to forget for a couple of days the stress of city life. The place a great with nice design and a welcoming feeling. The surrounding area is calm and ideal for a hick o a simple stroll around rice fields and small houses. The Hotel is renovate but has rooms that aren't. This gives a quite nice vintage feeling to it that I really appreciated. The food was amazing and enjoyed every single bit of it. But special mention to the fish rice that was to die for.
In general I would Say I had an amazing time and would love to come back.
Wonderful place at a great price. The staff were very helpful, the room was very cozy with a nice traditional Japanese feel and the Kaisen dinner was fantastic. We came by bicycle and it was very easy to access- there is a bus available as well. With a 7-11 close by, you have pretty much everything you need for the stay. The room was spacious and clean.
About 30 minutes by bus from Hon-Atsugi Station.
It is in a quiet place.
The exterior looks old, but the inside is renovated and stylish. The interior of the room was also modern and comfortable with the lights of Isamu Noguchi.
The private open-air bath was also in the mountains, so there were frogs and insects, but it was spacious and the hot water was good.
The rice was modern gastronomy, and while it looked fashionable, it tasted good. It was also good that local things were used. I was a little disappointed that the knife blade was set outward, but the customer service was relatively good.
The food was delicious and it was a good hot spring. What I was interested in was the voice of the upper floor and the next room, the opening and closing of the door, the footsteps, etc. In the "Kan" room, the mirror on the washbasin is a little far away, so it is difficult to make up. The dinner dish was warm but slightly cold. (Excluding pot)
What impressed me most when I stayed was the good feeling of the staff. Thank you very much for your kindness.
The room was a general old Japanese-style room and I didn't feel any dissatisfaction. I was happy that there were several free drinks in the fridge. If I have the next opportunity, I would like to stay in the Designer's Special Room.
Breakfast was a delicious Japanese food that made me feel relieved.
The main dinner is a stylish creative dish that combines French and Japanese food, and although the taste may differ a little, it was generally delicious.
It doesn't feel like they will carry you to the next one when you finish eating one, but it will take a little over two hours to serve the food slowly, so it is suitable for people who want to have a slow dinner while enjoying alcohol and conversation. I think that there.
It seems that they are actively using local and neighboring ingredients for both breakfast and dinner.
In addition to general amenities such as cotton swabs, shampoo, conditioner and body soap, the bathroom is equipped with makeup remover, cleanser, lotion and emulsion. Skin care is also available on the washbasin in the room.
It was good that the two open-air baths had a taste. I felt that the goodness of the hot water was higher in the indoor bath.
There was only one place I was a little worried about in terms of cleaning, but overall I think it is a well-cleaned and clean inn.
The bar is modern, warm and has a nice atmosphere, with a variety of alcoholic beverages (charged, same menu as dinner) and I like it, but I use it for anything other than coffee after breakfast (free). There seemed to be few people.
