(I stayed in the newer building and in a tatami style room, so I can't comment about the other building nor the western style rooms.) First off, I keep wavering as to whether or not this is a 3.5 star or 4 star place. The minuses: Not thick enough futons, the rooms are a bit old. The pluses: The meals are amazing! The food is so good! Best of all, you get your own personal dining room with great service! This is very important if you have children as they have place to play while you eat. Likewise, my son's food was very tasty and all homemade (although it was expensive). The hot springs are very nice too! The dry sauna is fantastic and is around 88-90°C, which is just right for me. Other comments: The garden looks really nice and has a foot spa, but it was cold so I didn't try either. As this is a traditional Japanese hotel, it makes sense that the breakfast is mostly Japanese. For me, I wish they had just a bit more western options as I didn't really feel satisfied - like something was missing - even though it was very tasty.

It's a coronal disaster, but since it's been my summer vacation, I stayed at Seifuen on a family trip. Even before Obon, there were few guests and there were only a few occasions where we met other guests. The ryokan seems to be a building with a long season, but there was a sense of cleanliness as it was thoroughly cleaned. Not only the food was delicious, but there were many items and the volume was perfect. It was disappointing to discontinue use of the bath because the sauna is self-restraining in the corona, but the quality of the hot springs was good and we were able to warm up comfortably. The only difficult point was that it was hard to connect to WiFi, but nothing else to say. It is a ryokan where all the staff will treat you carefully and want to stay again.

It was a very nice inn. The bath, the food and the room were great. The only thing was sukiyaki when the food was reserved It changed to steak on the day. But it was delicious.

Hot spring trip with relatives and sisters for the first time in 40 years It was awesome ~ The food was great ~ I wanted to come again 😊😊😊
