The building for the Japanese Sword Museum is very distinctive. Their collection of swords is impressive and the exhibit displays present a lot of detailed information. If you're into swords this is the place for you.

Nice little gallery/museum dedicated to the art of the sword and its making. Could be even better if it had more explanation in the English language available. But the actual swords are nice, and that's what ultimately counted for me. Some of them are considered national treasures.

Impressive display of newly made swords. Look to see what is currently being showcased as it appears to vary. Impressive free park is attached to the property.

More about the art of sword making then to show old pieces of known Samurai for what I hoped for. The art is spectacular. The craft absolutely the best. Beautiful swords well shown and explained. Materials and several parts of the 2 kind of swords explained and shown the time effort en experience needed to create a master piece. Happy I visited but with the wrong expectations I would see old swords. For the old swords you have to visit the National Museum. If you are into the production process the Sword museum is a must see.
