Love our stay in Shiga kogen!! Not a big hotel but very warm welcome here, what you can expected 1. The host can not speak English, but they use google translate to talk to you. 2. The food is "extremely good", not buffet style, more of a set menu style. 3. If you want to rent a towel it will cost you 500 yen 4. They have a Japanese style bath which you can book your own time. 5. It is very close to the bus stop, ticketing booth, and equipment rental. 6. Opposite with okushiga kogen hotel, so if you need to go to a bar or grab something, it is pretty close. 7. The host will entertain you with a magic trick after dinner, if you preferred (and he is pretty good). 8. If you rent a car to park, it took 5 mins walk to the parking, but you can park in front just to unload your luggage first. 8. Last check in is at 6:00 pm (the time they served dinner). 9. The place is very clean, and everything is on time, I love it! Love this place!

We had a good time at this family owned ryokan. The location is convinient, about 3 minutes walk from the ski centre. We asked for vegan meals upfront and the owners managed to cook delicious Japanese dishes without using any animal products. The price is reasonable as well especially considering the two meals included in the price.

Great little mountain pension. The Japanese host family is great and very welcoming. Even if they don't speak English they manage with the Google translator to communicate and are very helpful. Room are nice and there are 2 with private bathroom. The real highlight of the place is the food! Kenzo Sam is an passionate cook, every day he change the menu and every day he surprise us with different food! Dinner is a 4 course feast and breakfast is equally good.We spent 8 days and for sure will be back next year. The skiing slopes of okushiga kogen in my opinion is the best of the area. The lifts are just 200 meters from Pensiun Haku.

A family-run hotel with a family with strong characters. After having a meal, both the wife and the son have a good time talking, and it is said that the dish made by the undressed father is raising their arms every year. The grand piano of Nagano's treasure is the tuner of the site Ukinen Orchestra of Seiji Ozawa? It is important to manage it free of charge, and I was not able to play very much to an amateur. Thank you for taking a bath after skiing.
