An absolutely beautiful waterfall with a large area to view it from. I've been to a lot of waterfalls in Japan but this would have to be one of my favourites. A slight walk from the car park/bus stop which has some rocky steps, these could be a little treacherous (especially in the wet) for older people or anyone who has trouble walking. From here it is about a 10-15 minute walk up hill to the Seigantoji pagoda which has another awesome view of the waterfall. Try to visit here on a quiet day as it is very peaceful and much more enjoyable with less people around.

Picturesque falls set in a nice natural surrounding. 4 stars becaause the falls were, while impressive, not as impressive as.others I've seen. No pool at the base just a rocky outcrop.

100% Must be on bucket list for all nature lovers who visit Wakayama prefecture. Nachi falls stand at around 133m being the tallest waterfall in the Japan. Good to visit all the year but if you want to see the shear power and size of the waterfall try to visit on the rainy days. You can view it from the base but there is also a small platform close to the fall which makes you feels a bit closer. There are other shrine and temples which can also be seen along with the falls. Things to keep in mind before visiting: No convenience stores near falls (though there are toilets available) Car Parking available at various levels. Kindly make sure to maintain dignity of the secret place and have a great trip!👍

The viewing the waterfall from the 3 tiered Nachi Pagoda is breathtaking. You can even walk down around 15 minutes from the Pagoda to witness the falls from closer. Don’t forget to try out the Sakura-Mochi ice cream!

A very spectacular view. Entrance is FREE, unless you would like to go to th view deck...but seeing the falls at a lower viewpoint is already good enough. You can buy omamori here for a souvenir :D There is a photographer after the stairs (I think the charge is 1300 yen), but you can always just take a selfie instead...haha
