Small place to stay but affordable in tokyo. Private room is advisable else no privacy in bunk beds. But in a great location.
Great Pitt stop if you like to stay for a night. The place is quite packed with little bunks and small rooms, like really small for our double bedroom is only have a foot between bed and wall and nothing else in the room. But hey for $30 a night i will definitely do it again if I need to crash for the night. Not suitable for multiple night of visit cus you can't really unpack and out your stuff out. For the bunk, make sure you are not over 180 cm./6 ft. Then you will have to coil up, can't stick your feet out cus you be sleeping in a box frame. Nice staff tho
Great hostel to relax and explore the city, also very friendly staff!
In my first day the whole floor smelled like poop. I booked a private room to have privacy but instead there is a camera in the room. So much for privacy. I can't even get dressed in my own room since I don't know what/who is watching. I understand security cameras at the bunks but in the private room too????? The sheets and pillows also smelled nasty.
To get to the private room, you have to go through the bunk beds. Toilet seat is falling off. The heater and washer isn't even working. There was only one toilet and shower room for female. The walls are moldy too.
The Internet never worked for me. Wifi connects but no Internet. In the end I have to pay for separate mobile data because this place is so useless. Supposed to do laundry but the washing machine is out of order. So much for the offered amenities.
The only good thing about this place is its location.
I really really really regret coming here. I just can't cancel because it is already paid for. I really really hate this place. If I can give it 0★ I would. I absolutely hate this place! It's a total pigsty.
I've stayed at lots of guesthouses, capsule hotels, the affordable type of accommodations in Japan. However, this is the dirtiest place i've ever stayed. From bedsheet to pillow case to blanket to toilet to the shower room. Well, the only clean place is the 9th floor imo. First of all, my pillow case had some hairs on it. Some stains at bedsheet and futon cover. The 7th floor ladies shower room is so scary, not that scary but... if i didn't have to take a bath i wouldn't and i think for the period of my stays (2 nights and i went to the shower room for 3 days), they didn't clean it at all. Because the 1st day i went to the bathroom there's an empty plastic bag inside the clothes basket. It's still there when i took a shower at my last day, also, the room smelled like dirty laundry and the wall has lots of black spots (?) Idk are those molds or what. The room... is a mess! I know it's not fully the hotel's faults but the customers. Seriously? Lots of stuffs every where. If you plan to stay here.. please... please.. don't put your things at the common spaces. And it was so loud, mainly bcs of the 3 korean men that were soooo loud and have no manner. I cannot sleep at the 2nd day because they arrived at the guesthouse at 12am and talked so00 loud, possibly drunk, messy, and walking around like they were at their own places. I was so scarred and never been feeling this unsafe, ever, while i am living in Japan for these 3 years. Really, please, if you wanna stay at the shared room, please be considerate to other customers, please. At my 1st night, there's someone sleeping at the floor. Also, don't leave your valuable things behind. When i went out i made my bed, i always made my bed, but when i came back, my bed was so messy!! Like someone tried to search for something. And the cover was unattached with the futon?! I did not left anything there but still, scary. Really, and i think some things need maintenance. I always try to write objective and positive reviews, but this is so bad.
