Beautiful grounds and the reclining Buddha is special

I only went here to see the statue of the reclining buddha, it was a nice way to finish a day trip.

I went by car (sedan), but the road was narrow and I had a hard time. Most of the towns are small, called Shimabara, but there was a reclining Buddha in the grave and it was a little creepy.

It is a temple that is the venue for the memorial service of Matsukura Shigemasa. It seems that there is a connection.
