This is a simple Country onsen operated by two lovely older women who I think may be sisters. What’s most remarkable about this place is that it is perfectly (in the best sense of the word) unremarkable. Everything about the place is modest and unassuming, meaning that it truly blends in with the pleasantry of the mountains, the river and the onsens by which it is surrounded.
The same is true of the extremely delicious food. Rather than trying to impress with an over-the-top insane amount of food that “looks” wow, and more but fails completely at the taste buds, there is a generous amount of food that is truly delectable. Never have I been more pleased with the food at a ryokan or onsen than this.
Add to the fine food at dinner and at breakfast the truly sincere efforts of both ladies to ensure that everything was satisfactory, and their genuine warmth and care and you have, what for me, is an ideal onsen experience, dampened only by the indoor as opposed to outdoor bathing environment.
In this sense I felt more as if I were simply at a country ryokan run by exceptionally kind people. Highly recommended.
I went to stay after the litigation.
It was very good.
All the rooms are separated and have a room bath.
It was a bed, not a futon, but the bed was attached so that a one-year-old child could sleep without problems.
In the large communal bath, the indoor bath and the open-air bath change daily for men and women, so it was good to have both.
The room bath was an open-air bath.
Furuyu Onsen is lukewarm, but the temperature is high for lukewarm water.
Is it just a little cooler than a normal hot spring? It was about that.
I'm not good at being too lukewarm, so it was just right with a good amount of hot water.
The food was very gorgeous.
First of all, it is a service to compare local Japanese sake drinks included in the plan, but since it was said that there are 5 types little by little, I thought that it was a perfect size, and a glass of ordinary x 5.
Very good service for those who like sake.
Unfortunately I could only drink little by little because I am weak.
The food was also very good.
One unfortunate thing was that the all-you-can-eat obanzai was canceled due to corona measures.
It seems that it was added to the dish by that amount, but I personally loved obanzai and wanted to eat various things as I like.
I was worried before I went to the Furuyu Onsen inn (which was written as a three-star hotel) where I stayed before, so I was worried, but it was a difficult move.
It's so fulfilling that it's a little pricey, but I'd like to go again when the corona settles down.
It is one of the Furuyu Onsen in the mountains of Saga.
I visited for the first time, but the rooms were all separated and had an open-air bath, and the area was reasonably spacious. The staff members were very nice and helpful.
Rice is a restaurant, but a private room was prepared, and the dishes themselves were rich in variety and delicious, so I was satisfied. In addition to the course, there is also a buffet-style obanzai, which was also delicious and I ate too much... (laughs)
Access is inconvenient if you do not go by car, but I thought that the atmosphere of the inn was good and I would like to visit again.
Each building is independent
It was wonderful to be able to spend time in a quiet and calm atmosphere. Especially the open-air cypress bath in the room was big and comfortable.
Used in a drop-in hot water. Correspondence is polite with lukewarm water. It is difficult to have a small bath.
