This is the terminal station of the branch line of the Sanyo Main Line. It is a line specializing in commuting, where trains run only in the morning and evening, and there are only two round trips in the morning and evening on holidays. However, there is a Kobe Municipal Subway station nearby, which has a uniform number of flights at any time of the day and can go directly to Sannomiya, so it is not difficult to come even during the day. Since it is a branch line only between one station, the fare is settled at Hyogo station, which is an unmanned station. And there are multiple entrances and exits in the middle of the platform so that you can get out without going to the end.

JR Kobe Line (Sanyo Main Line) branch line Wadamisaki Line / Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line transfer station. JR Wadamisaki Station had a station building during the JNR era. The station staff was also resident. However, due to rationalization, the station building disappeared and it became an unmanned station. It is now barrier-free.

JRの和田岬駅です。ほぼ三菱関係の従業員の通勤のためだけに存在している駅です。電車自体は6両のありますが、通勤客で満員です。電車が駅に着いても座っている人がなかなか降りません。徐々に降りていき出発間際になって慌てて降りる人もいました。朝に兵庫行に乗っている乗客は私を含めて二人だけでした。さて、兵庫駅に到着して、和田岬線のホームから駅構内の自動改札を通ろうとしましたが、和田岬線に乗る乗客で込み合っていて、双方向の自動改札しかないためしばらく出ることができませんでした。
