Absolutely brilliant. Drink some excellent Sake (Much much better than the ¥190 stuff from FamilyMart it turns out), and have a relaxed chat about the local history. Probably my favourite highlight from a ton of highlights from our Japan trip. For Sake and Beer drinking, I think Toshi and his wife are open 19:00 to 21:30 Monday, Thursday and Saturday. But be in there before 20:00, so he can give you the whole history.

Fantastic evening at this place. Highly recommended and worth the visit. Toshi is a wonderful host and a pleasure to spend an evening with sipping local sake and beers and hearing more about the area. Next time we're back in tsumago we'll definitely be back. This review is for the ko bar around the corner from this pin, seems to be a mix up with the two.

This is THE pub to go while in Tsumago (including going after dinner after all shops close). It changed our trip to meet Toshi and Momo (the owners of the Pub) and learn more about them (they speak English very well by the way), the region as well as have great local sakes. Amazing timing that we will remember forever

Toshi and Momo run the "KO pub", by day an art gallery and by night, the friendliest Sake bar in the Kiso Valley. Toshi and Momo are the type of hosts you dream of meeting. Let them serve you a flight of sake and regale you of stories of Tsumago, Kiso, Joanna Lumley and Hello Kitty.

The owner taught us the history of the neighborhood neighborhood in a manner that is easy to understand. In the evening it becomes a bar, it seems to be a place for foreign visitors to relax.
