Visiting Gujo Hachiman during the Gujo Odori festival, accommodations were fully booked. We were about to give up, in desperation, we contacted the Gujo Hachiman tourist information centre, many thanks to their assistance, luckily, they managed to get a room for us in Bizenya. Not knowing what to expect, minutes walk from the town centre and the bus terminal, we were greeted with a pleasant surprise: A very traditional Japanese accommodation, old but well preserved. This must have been a exceptional inn during her heyday. It has very limited rooms, with share facilities / bathroom, toilets. English is hardly spoken here, however the staff were very helpful and doing their best to communicate with us. We were blessed to have stayed here and experienced this rare "Japan moment". Would not hesitate to recommend!
A ryokan from the good old days. There is only one partition, shoji and sliding door, and the key is a screw-in key from the inside. There are only 3 groups per day, 1 group apart, 1 group between 8 tatami mats on the 1st floor, and 1 group between 16 tatami mats on the 2nd floor, so each floor is reserved. Meals are also divided into floors, so you won't meet other guests. We stayed on the 2nd floor with 3 family members, but it was too large with 8 tatami mats and 2 rooms. I think it's the best room. The bath and toilet are shared, but there are no other guests on the 2nd floor, so it's like a private room. There are two baths on the first floor, but there are only two, so it is reserved. The essential meals were not as beautiful as they looked, but they were all delicious. The food was satisfying for the whole family. It is an inn that I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity. You can rent a parking lot after checking out, so I took a walk around the city and rented it until around 15:00.
It is clear what can and cannot be done. Whether it is good or not. I think the correspondence of the staff is good. Although there was some pressure on Nakai, I think the response was good. I think the meals are well prepared and delicious. I can feel the feelings of the board. I think the bath is also a good method. The shower stopped a bit early (laughs). I think that it is one of the few travellers who can travel back in time.
I asked by motorcycle, but it was a bit far from the inn, but it was a covered parking lot and I was grateful!
The inn is a very inn with a time-slip feel!
The corridors and rooms are just a shoji screen, so it's hard to see! It was very interesting!
The food was delicious and the amount was amazing!
The person who brought me a meal also said that the person who feels very good and the person who removes my luggage with his / her foot, I thought it was bad because I put the glow in the way! Lol
There were two baths in the family bath style, but the men and women were not separated, so it was a win, so it was a single woman this time so it was difficult to get in, so the time was until 23:00 so please enter slowly. Could not. Sweat
I wanted to put it in a little later if possible! So I rated it as 4. Lol
A Japanese style inn with a beautiful garden. It was convenient to leave the luggage and go around Gujo Hachiman Castle and Expo.
