Toyoko INN Tokyo-Eki Yaesu-Kitaguchi

Nice location, tiny rooms (even compared to other Toyoko Inns), tiny lobby, tiny breakfast area. Staff service class is varied, there is an old man at the front desk that is rude and does not want to hear customer requests, just answers no without trying to understand what the request is. Not recommended if you are not local Japanese.

If you have been to a standing only ramen restaurant or a standing only sushi restaurant, then this Toyoko inn will not surprise you. Lobby no seat , standing only; breakfast no seat, standing only; bedroom so small, thought we had to sleep "standing only". The staff were so indifferent, this unusual Japan experience shocked us to the bone. However, the only good point is its location.

It's my favourite Toyoko INN with regards to location. In all of Tokyo, it's got the best mix of convenience (5 min walk to either Tokyo Stn or Nihombashi Stn which cover a lot of train lines including JR Yamanote, a lot of buses come and go from Tokyo Stn, lots of restaurants are open until late, abundance of convenience stores) as well as being in an interesting area with lots to see and do within walking distance (Marunouchi, Imperial Palace/Gardens, Ginza, Hibiya, etc). When compared to other Toyoko INN branches, the rooms are smaller and the breakfast food selection is not as good but if you can live with those then this should be your first option for a Toyoko INN branch when coming to Tokyo.

Convenient hotel besides Tokyo Station which was good for transit traffic. You can arrive here by Airport budget bus at ￥1000 for stopping overnight and then leave for anywhere in Japan by JR Shinkansen. The hotel is quite small and with free breakfast with very simple food including nothing more than rice balls and muso soup.

5-10 min walking distance to Tokyo Station, but the room is quite small.
