Excellent hostel. Close to the station and in a lovely town. Very clean and modern facilities in a traditional house. The kitchen was well appointed and there is an izakya within a couple of minutes walk also.
The staff were very kind and accommodating. I would stay again.
Unfortunately I only stayed one night. The castle ruins nearby are interesting and have bilingual signage.
Excellent place to stay the night. Clean, tidy setup in an old school building. Kitchen, washing facilities and friendly staff. Nearby parking available and great for those on a tight budget.
Wonderful place. Its clean and cozy and located only 5-10 minutes walk from iwamura station. It still maintains and traditional atmosphere while still being modern and comfortable. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I had an excellent experience here.
An incredible value for an impeccable facility with super friendly and supportive staff. I could not give more high praise to Yanagiya. If you're in the area, you should definitely stay here.
This place was great, had a good sleep on the tatami mat/futon and the place was well renovated with good showers and toilets. What made this place stand out is the attentiveness of the staff and the owner. He even drove us to Magome to do the hiking trail and picked us up every single time we came by train, sometime without us having specifically talked about this.
