Spend a night here is perfect for visiting Shirakawago. Deep sleep, relax, good organize, clean public restroom&toilet, delicious dinner&breakfast. Host is so nice and kind. Japanese is really strict on time.

Great farmhouse stay in traditional japanese style. We were served dinner and breakfast which were both delicious, and had sliding door tatami mat rooms. Definitely worth a stay in shirakawago.

Lovely traditional minshuku. The hostess was very nice and helpful. The meals were out of this world

Fantastic breakfast and dinner. Very traditional (we're told) styled baths, sleeping arrangements and meals. Great location somewhat near the bus terminal but away from the bustle of the main road. Great for a night stay because the day trippers start clearing out around 3-4 during the autumn, and you can really enjoy the place. The best thing about staying here is you get to see the place after dark, which most people don't stick around for. There's not much to see because it so dark but if you're into night photography this can be quite fun and challenging.
