Although the location is about 10 minutes away from the village, it is not far from the observatory. The grandfather and the granddaughter are very kind and the food is good. Have the opportunity to recommend a overnight stay!

This inn is run by Toshiharu Wada, a roofer, and his grandson's wife (everything is pretty). By the way, both my grandson and his father (Toshiharu's son) are working on the restoration of thatched roofs in Shirakawa-go, and after dinner, they showed me a video of the NHK program that featured them. The food, including the rice harvested at home, was delicious, and the bathtub was large, so I was able to relax slowly. It was a time when my grandfather's smile and his smile were healed by his lovely wife. It is on the right side of the road to the observatory. When I heard from my wife that the grandson of a soft serve ice cream enthusiast said that "Yukinko" was the best, and ate Tokuno Milk Soft on the way home, it tasted convincing.

A pure moment of happiness !! The owner does not really speak English or French but the moments of sharing with him were intense and in pure Japanese sympathy! The hostel is more traditional (quite cool in autumn / winter but the owner so helpful even brought hot water bottles for the beds !!).
