The hotel is directly at the big Park with iluminated Cherry Blossom. Great place for the season. Old but good Furniture, good Japanese Breakfast, good Value for Money. Only the cleanliness could be better. There was plenty of settled Dust in every Corner of the corridor and in the room.
Still 5 Stars from us for friendliness, the good Breakfast, the good Location and Value for Money. We enjoyed our Stay!

Small but very adequate and decent hotel in Fukoaka..has friendly staff and great WiFi.
This hotel is by far not the newest or most fashionable and yet it's a good place to stay at for a night or two. It's clean and well organized, in a good area with very nice & helpful staff. Breakfast is free and delicious.
I haven't stayed in such a small room since my first visit to Japan nearly a decade ago. 2 twin beds and a small refrigerator on the floor take up all of the space, leaving a one-foot gap between beds and about two feet between foot of bed and wall. It was 2 days and nights of shifting our luggage around to be able to move. There were pebbles and particles all over the floor, though the rest of the room was clean. But the common areas--lobby and dining room--had filthy floors and the stairwell walls were covered with grime. The two saving graces were the cost--about $55 American per night in late 2018--and the beautiful, nearby Park, Otori Koen. Still, I will do all I can to avoid staying here in future.
