The hot springs that can be reserved are muddy and very hot. Probably, I think it was above 45 ℃. While thinking that the ingredients would be thin, I drained water from the hose as recommended by the inn. The room I stayed in was "Horai" on the 3rd floor. The decorative carvings of old fittings remain everywhere, and convey the feelings of the time and the atmosphere of the times. When you wake up early in the morning, you can hear people talking from the morning market held in front of the inn. This was also tasteful. It's a very old building, and the atmosphere is like going back to the past, and it was regrettable at the time of departure.

The ryokan I personally liked. Leaves the old-fashioned retro atmosphere. There are also three baths and hot water from the source. For those who want to enjoy the atmosphere as it is not luxurious.

Hijiori Onsen itself is a traditional hot spring town, and this inn is not out of the area, but I like it. Well, the fact that it is in a place that is not easily accessible may be the same factor. Now that it has been renewed, the number of clean hotels is increasing, but is it the only place where the essence of hot springs is not in that place?

The hot water was great. Even in the middle of December it is already snowing (about 1 meter), but there is no hot water in the communal toilet in the corridor. It is only miso soup that the meal is warm. The pork shabu-shabu came out, but for some reason it was cold shabu. The rice was delicious but I wanted to eat something more warm. The hospitality of the female general and the female employee was good.
