Reviews
Stayed here during a peak period as it was the only one to still have a vacancy within this town. I think other people have avoided it because of the low reviews, but I personally had no trouble with it.
For one person, lodging was cheap, and the proprietor was nice and friendly. Bath closes early, at 9pm, so I wasn't able to bathe when i returned home late.
The location is slightly isolated from the other attractions in Oarai, but is also relatively close to the shrine.
The place has a rustic, live-in atmosphere which some people may not like, but I was completely fine with it. It helps that their representative cardboard character Oshida is one of my favourites.
Overall, it was a satisfying stay.
I'm staying now. I made a reservation with Rakuten Travel, but the room smelled dusty, and when the room was ventilated, there was a gap in the window and I was bitten by a mosquito. I attached no mat to the equipment in the room, but there was no effect. I bought a one-push mosquito coil using a go to coupon. After that, I drank in the room, slept, woke up and went to the bath, but it was closed. The reservation details of Rakuten Travel stated that it would be possible to enter for 24 hours. The futon was also self. I mean, I wasn't told by the landlady. The reservation contents are different, the service of the guest house is bad. Isn't this a rip-off of 7,000 yen using goto?
If breakfast is bad with this, it's a scam.
It was the second day of Oarai. It is Mr. Oshida's house w
After all, it is a facility such as The Minshuku in the Showa era, both in appearance and content. So don't expect services like inns and hotels even if you make a mistake. People who usually follow the rules and manners of the facility will not feel inconvenienced. The landlady is very friendly and you can take a bath freely from 15:00 to 21:00. You can mess around in a tatami-matted room. You can enter and leave the room freely unless it is a very late time. There is a charge, but there is also a washing machine, so it will be helpful in the summer. The view of the room is also nice.
Breakfast is handmade by the landlady and can be eaten freshly.
The advantage here is that it has excellent access to various places during the pilgrimage to the sacred place. The parking lot is large and I am grateful to those who come by car. Also, the bus stop is close and you can walk if you do your best. Since the number of buses is small, planning is important.
If you go down the slope to the east, there are many gourmet spots, and if you go north along the sea, you will find Oarai Isosaki Shrine, and further north to Aqua World. Heading south is the Seaside Station, and further south is Shiosai-no-Yu.
The location overlooking the horizon of the sea from the window of the guest room (Room 212) on the 2nd floor was wonderful, and it was a nice miscalculation because I couldn't really imagine it from the slightly narrow entrance and the slightly awkward-looking building. I don't like the nearby road, which is a bit narrow, but there is an Isomae Shrine, a high-class restaurant, a mass cafeteria, a yakiniku restaurant, and a coffee specialty coffee shop nearby. The bath was spacious and well equipped, and it was quite comfortable to relax in a bathtub. However, I wanted to fix that one of the drawers in my room was open, but I want you to fix it (whether you use it or not), and the fact that you have a futon bet is the first time you have used an Oarai ryokan or inn. So I was a little confused.
I used it for the first time, but the landlady was very smart! ️🖐️
