Aoba is a hidden, quaint hot spring hotel in Iizaka, Fukushima city. It has an outdoor bath and two indoor baths. If you stay at the hotel, you don’t have to pay extra money to dominate a bath. If it’s not occupied, all you have to do to dominate the bath is locking the door from the inside. They have less than 10 rooms, therefore it’s always quiet. And additionally they bring the dinner and breakfast to your room. I mean you can enjoy meals very quietly. As you see, they serve a lot of dishes for dinner and breakfast. You might be full with a bunch of dishes!!! Plus, you can get to this hotel from the nearest station in 10 minutes on foot. Personally I really love this hotel.

It is built in a sukiya style and all the hot springs flow directly from the source. Both the rock bath and the open-air bath are reserved, and the open-air liquor with the Aoba label is available. In the spring, you can enjoy natural wild plants, and in the fall, you can enjoy mountain mushrooms in your room.

The number of side dishes was amazing. If anything, it was a lineup for the elderly. The meat for dinner was very delicious. The shrimp fry was also oversized. It was nice to reserve the hot spring. The bath in the room was also nice. It was difficult to adjust because the temperature of the hot water was hot.

A place where people have different tastes when it comes to cooking. However, I enjoyed the tempura and sashimi. The inn had the scent of the early Showa period, and I enjoyed it including using the private open-air bath.
